The short version: we pass your name and contact details to the garages quoting your job, and to nobody else. We do not sell leads.

Who we are

What we collect, and why
- Your registration. To look up the vehicle so the garages are quoting the right car. Looking a reg up on its own is not stored — if you check a plate and leave, there is no record of you.
- Your name, email and phone number. So the quotes can reach you and so the garage you choose can arrange the work.
- Your postcode. To work out which member garages are near enough to help. We convert it to a rough position using postcodes.io and keep that with your request.
- What you told us is wrong with the car. Passed to the garages so they can price it properly.
- A one-way scramble of your IP address. To stop one person flooding the site. It cannot be turned back into an address.
Who we give it to
When you ask for quotes, your name and contact details go to up to three member garages — the ones close enough to do the work. That is the whole list. We do not sell your details, we do not pass them to insurers, warranty companies or marketing firms, and we do not build a profile of you.
A garage sees your registration, what you need doing, your postcode and your notes straight away. Your name and phone number are held back until they have actually sent you a price — there is no reason for anyone to hold your number for a job they have not quoted on.
We use these companies to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting), Supabase (database, in the EU), Resend (email), postcodes.io (turning a postcode into a position) and the DVLA and DVSA (vehicle and MOT data). They process data for us and do not get to use it for anything of their own.
What we rely on to do it
Your consent, given by the tick box on the request form. That is why the box is not pre-ticked and why the form will not send without it. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will delete the request.
How long we keep it
- Quotes stop being shown after 14 days, because prices move.
- A request and its quotes are kept for 12 months, so we can sort out a dispute about a job and so a garage can prove what they quoted.
- Then it is deleted. Ask sooner and we will do it sooner.
Counting visitors
We count page views so we know whether the site is working. No cookies, no IP addresses, no advertising trackers, nothing shared with anyone. Just a number.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, or to delete it. Email hello@garagecommandcentre.co.uk and we will do it within a month, usually the same week. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
One thing worth saying plainly
PDL MOTs & Repairs in Gloucester is owned by the people who run this network. It appears on the network like any other garage, it is labelled as ours wherever a customer sees it, and it gets no advantage in how quotes are ordered — the list is sorted by distance from you, and nothing else.
